I was blown away by how much structure and raw emotion fit into such a short collection, especially the poems he wrote between ages 8 and 11—it’s hard to believe a child composed them. The book itself is slim, but I found myself rereading pages for the honesty in every line.

The way Tito’s poems move from simple observations to deep questions about communication is genuinely striking, especially given he wrote them as a child. I wish the book included a bit more context on his mother’s teaching methods, but the raw voice here is worth the read.
