Bought this for my 8-year-old nephew after his diagnosis, and he actually sat still to finish it in one sitting. The way Adam talks directly to young readers about how it feels to have Asperger's is spot-on, and the bit about unique talents really boosted his confidence.

The book explains Asperger’s through Adam’s own voice, which is a nice way to introduce the topic to kids, but the story feels a bit dated and the illustrations are plain. It’s useful for a classroom discussion, though I wouldn’t call it engaging enough to hold a child’s attention for long.
