The triangular shape fits my hand perfectly, and the ergonomic dots keep me from dropping it while sharpening a bunch of colored pencils. Love that the extra-large wastebasket means I don't have to empty it after every session.

I bought this mainly for my kid's jumbo colored pencils and it handles them without any wobbling or cracking the lead. The wastebasket is genuinely huge, I've sharpened a whole pencil case full and haven't had to empty it once.

The triangular body actually stays put on my desk instead of rolling off, which I didn't know I needed until now. The extra-large waste basket means I'm not emptying it every other day, and it handles my kid's jumbo colored pencils without jamming.
