The red sand takes exactly a minute to drain, and my kids actually argue over whose turn it is to flip it. It's heavier than I expected for a sand timer, which makes it feel sturdy rather than cheap.
Bought this for our homeschool reading blocks and the red sand drains in exactly a minute, which is perfect for short attention spans. The glass is thick and the sand doesn't stick to the sides like cheaper ones I've tried.
My kids actually fight over whose turn it is to flip this thing, which I didn't expect. The red sand takes exactly a minute to run through, so it's perfect for our tooth-brushing standoff. The bottle itself is bigger than I pictured, easy for small hands to grip.
