My 4-year-old figured out how to wind these up on his own within a minute, and now he races two of them down the hallway track for ages. The little chugging motion is smooth even on carpet, which I wasn't expecting.
Picked one up for my nephew’s birthday and the whole party crowd stopped to watch it roll across the floor. The winding is smooth and it chugs along for a good while, perfect for little hands to keep restarting.
The winding mechanism is surprisingly sturdy for such a tiny toy—my son has cranked it dozens of times and it still rolls across the kitchen floor without stalling. Perfect little party favors that actually keep kids busy for more than two minutes.
